Trip description

Embark on an unforgettable 3-day desert adventure from Marrakech and discover the stunning landscapes of southern Morocco. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, visit the famous Kasbahs of Telouet and Ait Ben Haddou, and travel through the lush Draa Valley to Zagora. Continue to M'Hamid and the spectacular dunes of Erg Chigaga, the largest dunes in Morocco, where you can enjoy a camel ride, admire a breathtaking sunset, and spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the stars. On the final day, journey across the vast Lake Iriqui plateau, the Anti-Atlas Mountains, and traditional Berber villages before returning to Marrakech, completing an authentic experience of Morocco’s desert, oases, and mountain landscapes.

Tour itinerary

After pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, depart early in the morning on a 4x4 journey towards the desert. Cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and visit the Kasbah of Telouet before descending into the beautiful Ounila Valley, where you will stop to explore the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. After crossing the Tizi n'Tinifift Pass, continue through the Draa Valley, passing stunning oases, palm groves, and traditional ksour (fortified villages). Dinner and overnight stay in Zagora.
Marrakech - Tichka - Ait Ben Haddou - Agdez - Zagora

After a short visit to the famous Quranic Library of Tamegroute and its traditional pottery workshops, continue your journey towards M'Hamid El Ghizlane, crossing beautiful sandy landscapes and desert vegetation. Upon arrival at Erg Chigaga, head directly to a charming desert camp set in the heart of the dunes. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a camel ride through the dunes or take a short walk to admire the extraordinary scenery of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional desert bivouac.
Zagora - M 'hamid - Erg chegaga

After breakfast we will leave for the foothills of the Anti-Atlas crossing the huge LAKE IRIKI plateau, Foum Zguid, Taznakht and Wawzguit or the capital of Berber carpets and saffron. We will also pass through Amerzegane to reach the Tizi N’Tichka pass back to Marrakech.
