3-Day Tour Ait Bouguemez Valley
Trip description
This 3-day excursion from Marrakech in the High Atlas will allow you to discover beautiful valleys and breathtaking landscapes. The Ait Bouguemez Valley, also known as the Happy Valley, is a favored destination for Moroccan and international visitors thanks to its rich cultural and geological diversity, the authenticity of its magnificent Berber villages, and the warm and welcoming local population. The Aït Bouguemez Valley is an ideal place for trekking and hiking on foot.
Tour itinerary
Departure from Marrakech via the Demnate road. We will stop for lunch in the small village of Imi N’Ifri and take a short walk near the village’s famous natural bridge, which is classified as a biological and ecological interest site. Continue towards the village of Iwariden, a small red-earth village that was, in prehistoric times, a closed lake and contains superb dinosaur track sites. We will then cross the Aït Boulli valley before arriving in Aït Bougmez. Check-in at the guesthouse, welcome tea, then a short hike around the area with your local guide to discover the region.

After breakfast, transfer by minibus to the village of Timit to visit the collective attic of Sidi Moussa on top of a beautiful hill. Continuation on foot through a mosaic of fields to reach a cottage located in Imelghas where we will have a lunch break before returning to our hostel.

Back to Marrakech by the Azilal road, a short coffee break on the way before reaching the sumptuous Ouzoud valley, where you will have the chance to discover the highest waterfalls in Morocco, nestled in the heart of a beautiful natural site of the Middle Atlas, we will take a short hike to discover this magnificent valley, then we will have a good lunch on the terraces before continuing to Marrakech.
